EASY HOMEMADE MAYONNAISE
INGREDIENTS:
- I use this as my mayo base and use it to make a few differnt versions that we use all Pesach long!
- 1 cup avocado oil
- 1 large egg, room temp
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- Pinch of pepper
- 1 clove garlic, roughly chopped Here’s some things I like to add:
- 1-2 tbsp deeply golden sautéed onions + 1 Tbsp maple syrup + 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 cup grated horseradish + 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 roasted jalapeño + 1 tbsp lemon juice
Cooking steps
Step 1
Add everything. To a large tall container. Slowly put in the immersion blender. The second the blender encapsulates the egg troll being juzzing. Do not move the blender for about 1 minute. After the mayo begins to thicken very slightly lift up one edge of the blender to allow a little more to stream in. Once that sides gets thick lift up the second edge to allow more oil to stream in on the other side. Continue until you reach the top.
Step 2
The mayo should be very thick and creamy!
Step 3
Once it’s made you can add things to it to flavor it up!
