“Party in the city where the heat is on, all night on the beach till the break of dawn….I’m going to Miami, buenvenidos a Miami.”

Will Smiths’s iconic song about Yeshiva Weeks’ most popular destination has basically been on repeat in my head for the last month. Although, I don’t quite think this is the demographic of people who he had in mind when he wrote the song. Then again, maybe he knew something I don’t! Ha! Either way, the only partying I’ve been doing while here has been in the form of my daily afternoon cocktail or beer (bud light, obviously)! Aside from that I did little else besides eat and chill with my parents. By chill I mean, stay inside because the weather has betrayed me. It is not hot and sunny, hangout by the beach weather. Its been more like humid, rainy and make B-lines from the door to your car kind of weather. I’m not complaining though because the non-stop rain has actually made my life easier. I don’t have to w0rry about making difficult decisions like, “should I leave the beach to go get lunch”. Or, “If I go for an afternoon swim, do I have to shower before dinner? The only thing I have to think about is where to eat. And lucky for me, my mother and father had that all planned out!
